The tarka flute is a unique square flute of the Andes. Peruvian Artisans from the Highlands of the Andes shape the wood, carve traditional designs and delicately hand paint the flute. The result; an astonishingly well made musical instrument for years of blissful playing.
It has a whistle type mouthpiece and 6 finger holes. The tarka flute sound and scale are different from any other Andean flute. It sounds very primitive yet soft and mellow with a rasp in the low range.
